National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

National Day of Truth & Reconciliation

On this day, National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, we show our respects to the survivors of residential schools and mourn children who never returned home. Today, we wear orange to symbolize the stripping away of culture, freedom and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children over generations. We recognize that this land is Native Land; we stand on the roots of those who were here first. Respect and Reconciliation is long over-due.
